He was born on 3rd August 1933 in Krhanice upon Sázava. He finished his studies at Pedagogical Faculty of Charles University in Prag [the professors were C. Bouda, K. Lidický, M. Salcman].

Since 1967 he became the member of the Association of Czech artists graphics HOLLAR. He lives and works in Ústí nad Labem.
